The goals of The Mountain View Historical Association are:

• To gather and preserve historical data relative to the early settlement and development of the area in and around the present City of Mount
ain View.

To collect, record, edit and publish a history of the pioneering activities of this area.

To preserve historic objects and places.

To cooperate with other organizations in the Santa Clara Valley on projects deemed worthy by our membership.

Association meetings are open to the General public. The group meets four times per year on the first Sunday in February, May, August and November.

Meetings are held at the Historic Adobe Building located at 157 Moffett Boulevard in Mountain View.
Located at the corner of Moffett Boulevard and Central Expressway the Adobe Building is a nationally registered historic landmark constructed in 1934 under the Works Progress Administration.

Strong community support saved the building from demolition and led to it's restoration in 2001.
